Ooh, look, you've found my journal. Here's a cookie for your effort. Before you click on my name and start reading through this, there's some things you're going to need to know. I'm queer, pagan, freakish, and I'm not going to apologize for it. I don't care what you think of me, so if you're going to leave me comments bitching, don't waste your time. I'll ignore or delete them and go about my merry little way. You sought me out, not the other way around. I'm going to talk about my religion, my psychological and physical health, as well as the humorous and miserable aspects of my life. I'm a bitcher, take it or leave it.

Now that we've gotten that shit out of the way, here's some more about me. I'm Nicholas (you can call me Nick), former slave for BK in Upstate NY. I'm working on getting my GED and getting a new job, that isn't in the food service industry. I've killed the idea of going to college, since my first stint with it went so badly, well for now. I am (unofficially) gender dysphoric and in search of hormone therapy and surgery. I'm also in the process of becoming healthier by changing my dietary habits. I'm also learning to live, love and love myself in the process before I commit myself to someone else.

I have emotional issues which subjects me to bouts of depression, but I'm working on getting that worked on. But, with that knowledge in hand, I don't express my emotions very well and I tend to bottle. Random emotional outbursts are common. I'm working on that. I'd like to work on these issues before I start on hormones, but I'm an impatient little sod, so selfish conflicts ensue. But, to be honest, I would like to put my emotional well-being first so I can have a happy and successful transition.

I like to call myself a musician, considering I played the trumpet since I was eight. I also tool around on my 4-string bass and 6-string classical acoustic guitar. Oh, I play around on the piano when I get the chance, but that rarely happens. I can read music, somewhat write music, and I'm working to become better at playing other music. I would love learn to play the drums in the near future, as well as the cello. Usually, when you see me, I'm listening to music in some degree. Classical is my favorite, even though I really enjoy rock and jazz.

I'm not a very political person, anybody who knows me would be able to tell you that. Lots of politicians talk out the sides of their mouths. But, if you had to stick me in a category, it would be liberal. As far as being a registered voter, I am, but I don't have a party affiliation because I tend to swing between Democrat and Independent. The issues I'm most serious about are gay marriage (for), abortion rights (for), the death penalty (mildly against, but it depends), and environmental protection (calling for more). But, other than that, I don't too much pay attention. Oh, yeah, I also plan to vote this year. I may not be a genius, but I'm no idiot.

Here's some rules to reading my journal.

-No, you may not make bullshit comments to my journal. I'm going to do with my life what I feel necessary. You are entitled to think what you wish, but, if you're complaining about me... shut up about it.

-My transition is about feeling right in my body. It's not about male privilege, betraying the female sex, or betraying the lesbian community (which I was a brief member of).

-I like to call myself a feminist. Women belong wherever they feel they belong, not where their male counterparts put them. It's a woman's right to choose what she does with her life, her money, and her body.

-My religion is an important part of who I am. I converted to Paganism after feeling rejected by Christianity, not because of a personal vendetta. I don't have any problems with Christians, or the religion as a whole or any religion for that matter (even though I think Scientology is a bit wonky). This is a proselytization-free zone. You respect my choice of religion, and I'll respect yours.

-I have "waaahhmbulance" moments. They happen. It's my right. They're under the "gripe" tag. Don't read them if you don't want to.

-If you call me Nicky, I'm going to have to hurt you.

-Feel free to friend my journal. I reserve the right not to friend you back. Currently, I do not (although, I wish I did) speak or read Russian. Sorry. If you friend me, drop me a note and have some information about yourself.
